RMIT University Snow Sports - Leadership / Community Development

I joined RMIT University Snow Sports in March of 2022, as a fresh faced Social Media manager; at a time where this student community was largely wiped out from the impacts of COVID-19, and struggling to keep financially afloat.

Throughout the next two years, I led lead the community as President 2023 & 2024. In which, we achieved a lot as a team; through strategic growth initiatives progressing to be the largest student association at RMIT, and largest youth based snow sports association within ANZ.

That once struggling club is now a vibrant XL community where many cherished memories, best friends and shard adventures will continue well into the future. A key personal learning that has shown me the importance of key communities in change-centric transitions, as well as the tangible difference between management and leadership; and the impact of transformative leadership within actualised contexts.

Below are some attributable achievement within my time as President:

-Launched strategic growth initiatives that has seen RUSS grow to be the largest student association within RMIT and largest youth snow-sports networks in ANZ. (+200% membership growth YoY)

-Oversight over x15 person multifaceted team, growth from 3 - 15 (+400% growth)

-Management of complex operational network that services experiences for over ~1k students YoY, and over $300k budget expenditure.
