My RMIT story so far..
2021 (Finding Passion)
Year 1 RMIT, I arrived fresh eyed and fresh faced. Admittedly without much of a clue of the world, and without direction or overarching career aspiration..

I was welcomed into RMIT by an innovative course structure, the Bachelor of Business Innovation and Enterprise (a.k.a BBIE), this course shaped and cultivated my creative, extroverted and scrappy nature, into innovation excellence, becoming both a high-level collaborator and semi-comfortable public speaker.

This year, I met people who were equally driven, inspired by potential and held similar aspirations for the future of the world; forming some of my first key professional networks.
Alongside this, at a personal level I found my passion within winter environments, and fell in love with snow sports; spending half the year in COVID-19 lockdown at Mt Buller. Not a bad place to be couped up.
2023 (Skill development)
Year 2 RMIT, was where I found my people and voice; through RMIT leadership and volunteering I found a somewhat-dying student club. RMIT University Snow Sports (or RUSS as we would call it)

Through a strangely shakey and incredibly nervous public speech to x50 fellow students in a far too warm pub in Richmond, I was appointed as RUSS Brand Manager, at this point I hardly used social media at all and was well in the deep end.

Year two was also the begging of my "professional" work career, beginning my role as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Uber. Whilst my Grandma still believes I drive cars for a living, I was actually welcomed into a corporate environment that was incredibly agile, high-octane and a personally challenging work context.

This year through professional experience, I became analytically equipped with a toolbox of "data-dork" skillsets. With a newfound appreciation for Big Data, SQL and solving complex problems within scaled business environments.
2024 (Voice & Leadership)
Year 3 RMIT, whilst not yet over. Has been leadership-centric, with a keen focus on uplifting others around me, finding personal leadership style; and hopefully leaving some level of lasting positive-impact on the RMIT communities and people that have provided so much for me in return.

That "somewhat-dying student club" now had grown to be the largest student association within RMIT (with over 600 paid members); in which throughout role development, has taught me invaluable lessons within community growth strategy, managing people and effective leadership.

Year 3, has also been the year in which I have found obsession within generative AI technologies, AI ethics and philosophy; leading me to launch consulting projects within Generative-AI in tertiary education. Tying back to my love for tough problems and problem-challenge contexts found in early career.
