This explorative leadership analysis, critically examines Sam Altman's leadership approach, personal career story and broader leadership theory cross-analysis. Sam, is an openly queer, non-analytical, and divergent leader within the rapidly evolving landscape of generative AI technologies. This report, which focuses clearly on transformative leadership, highlights the importance of human-centric leadership within high-risk, change-centric and ambiguous corporate environments; as well as the broader effectiveness of human-centric leadership within management theory as a whole.
As a developing leader, this analysis has reinstated my infatuation within transformative leadership theory, and reaffirmed the effectiveness of transformative leaders in the business world of tomorrow. This sub-theory of tranformative leadership is an area in which I have specialised within my management major, and broader personal studies. As such, I endeavour to apply tranformative leadership within all areas of profession and collaboration.
